Revel Fitness Instructors

SANDY
Hi, I’m Sandy! I’ve been teaching group fitness for more than a decade, starting with Zumba and growing into SHiNE Dance Fitness, POUND, POUND Unplugged, and UPLIFT. What began as a love for dance has become a lifelong passion turned profession—movement and music have always been part of who I am.

For the past 14 years, Revel has been my fitness home. It’s where I’ve evolved not only as an instructor, but as part of a supportive community that thrives on connection, energy, and shared joy through movement.

My classes combine strong verbal and visual cueing so participants can confidently learn and master new choreography. As each song progresses, I like to build the energy—adding subtle layers and fun variations that invite personal style and self-expression. By the final beat, my goal is for everyone to feel empowered, successful, and proud of what they’ve accomplished. The greatest reward is witnessing that spark—watching people discover their strength and leave feeling uplifted and confident.

ALICIA
I first discovered dance fitness in 2009 when I attended a Zumba class with a friend. I was immediately hooked and earned my teaching license in 2010. Over the years, I've expanded my certifications to include Zumba Kids (formerly Zumbatomic), Aqua Zumba, Werq Dance Fitness, and a group fitness certification from AFAA. I've had the privilege of leading classes across Indianapolis, Greenwood, and Carmel, at various venues such as gyms, staff retreats, neighborhood clubhouses, summer camps, Boys and Girls Clubs, charity events, and more.
Outside of teaching and participating in classes, I enjoy baking, reading, and exploring local restaurants. I'm always looking for an excuse to be outdoors.
I began teaching at Revel Fitness as a substitute in the summer of 2021 and have been a part of the team ever since. What I love most about teaching is the students and the sense of community that develops among dancers. There's something magical about coming together and letting the music take over.
At Revel Fitness, we offer a variety of class formats and instructors, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment for all participants. Whether you're new to dance fitness or a seasoned enthusiast, we'd love to see you in class, dancing and having fun!

MELISSA
Hi, I’m Melissa. I teach Pound Fitness and Uplift strength. I have been with Revel Fitness since 2023. My teaching style incorporates fun, class connection, lots of energy, and music for all types of fans. I want my participants to be able to get away from life stress, let loose, and be present for themself. My classes focus on proper fitness form and movement, while having fun and forgetting how hard you’re actually working! When I’m not teaching, I enjoy taking other fitness classes, riding bicycles, reading for self-improvement, and listening to podcasts. Come see what Revel Fitness has to offer! I know you’ll find at least one class to love, if not all!! Melissa

KELSEY
Hi, I'm Kelsey!  I've taught my Dance Fusion class at Revel since June 2023.  I've always had a passion for dancing, so I enjoy getting to share that with other people.  I've been dancing since I was in preschool, and have taught different varieties of classes in the past.  My class is upbeat, and has music from top artists like Pitbull, Jason Derullo, Lady Gaga, and even Bon Jovi!  My main priority in teaching my class is that everyone feels included and is having fun while getting in a good workout.  We will do a lot of dancing while also incorporating some specific movements like squats, lunges, and arm focused moves.  You will work up a sweat before you know it, all while having fun!

In my freetime, I enjoy reading and spending time outside; I have 2 dogs that love to go for walks.  I also really enjoy doing DIY projects around the house and yard.

I would love for you to join my class, don't be shy about trying it out; I would love to meet you!

KAREN
Hi, I’m Karen! I’m certified in SHiNE Dance Fitness—a fun, high-energy workout rooted in Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. I fell in love with SHiNE after my friend Sandy introduced me to it, and I’ve been hooked ever since.

I’m currently working on my certification in UPLIFT, SHiNE’s strength training program. I never used to enjoy lifting weights or doing crunches, but doing it to iconic music completely changed the game for me. Now I take UPLIFT three times a week!

I’ve been part of the Revel community since 2019 and absolutely love it here—the people, the instructors, and the energy are unmatched. I occasionally sub SHiNE classes and, while I’m still getting used to being on stage, I teach because I want to share my passion for SHiNE and give back to this amazing community.

Outside the studio, you’ll often find me playing pickleball, cooking, baking, trying new restaurants, watching movies, or hanging out with friends and family. I’m always up for trying something new!

If you’re new to Revel, I know it can feel intimidating—but this is one of the most welcoming places you’ll find. Your first class is free, so give it a shot. Every instructor brings something unique, and there’s a class for everyone, no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
